Esther David

Esther David received Sahitya Akademi Award and has authored seven novels. Trained as an artist, she was an art critic and columnist for The Times of India, Ahmedabad edition. She was involved with Lalit Kala Akademy and West Zone Cultural Center and made art videos on art education for EMRC with Malti Mehta.

Ms. Priyanka Kundu

Ms. Priyanka Kundu did her Bachelors in History of Art from Kala-Bhavana, Visva-Bharati (Santiniketan) and has also completed her Post-Graduation in Art History and Aesthetics with specialization in Indian Architecture from Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. Her core area of interest is Ancient and Medieval Indian Art. She did her research paper (Master's dissertation) on the study of Medieval Sculptures of Assam, with a methodical reading of Religious Studies. At present, she is doing her internship in Lalbhai Dalpatbhai Museum (Ahmedabad), in physical cataloguing of N. C. Mehta Collection of Indian Miniature Paintings, under the guidance of Prof. Ratan Parimoo, Director of the Museum.

Prof. Ratan Parimoo

Ratan Parimoo has a Ph.D. from M.S. University, Baroda, where he also taught for 34 years, serving as Head of the Department of Art History and Aesthetics (1966-91) and as Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts (1975-81). Among his numerous publications are Paintings of the Three Tagores (1973) , republished in expanded version as Art of Three Tagores: From Revival to Modernity (2010), and Historical Development of Contemporary Indian Art (2009). Since 2007 he has been the Director of the L.D. Museum and N.C. Mehta Art Gallery, Ahmedabad. He has completed the N.C. Mehta Collection Vol.I, Gujarati School and Jaina Manuscript Paintings in 2010, and Vol.II, Rajasthani, Central Indian, Pahari and Mughal Paintings, in 2013.
